The Hayes Museums are hosting an Easter Egg Roll

The Easter Bunny Returns to Hayes Egg Roll

FREMONT — Children are invited to an afternoon of fun April 16 at the annual Hayes Easter Egg Roll, which replicates the White House Easter egg roll that Rutherford B. Hayes launched when he was president.

The egg roll is from noon to 3 p.m., and children and their families can stop by any time during this time to participate. The event is aimed at children ages 3-10, but children of all ages are welcome.

Children are invited to bring three colored hard-boiled eggs to use in the traditional egg games, which will take place on the Hayes Home lawn. These are the same games played during the annual White House Easter Egg Roll.

Children from 3 to 10 years old can also bring a pre-decorated egg to participate in the decorated egg contest. Other activities include a scavenger hunt, story-telling, arts and crafts, and corn-hole tossing.

The Easter Bunny will make an appearance and be available to take pictures with event attendees.

The egg roll is sponsored by Roots Poultry and Welly’s Horseradish.
