THE TF1 MEDIALAB ACCELERATOR PROGRAM IS BACK FOR ITS 7TH SEASON AT STATION F

TF1 MediaLab has chosen six start-ups to join the new season of TF1’s accelerator program in September. Selected for their innovative solutions, each will be sponsored by one of the TF1 group companies (TF1, Unify, Newen). They will work within the ecosystem of Station F, the largest start-up campus in the world.

This new season – the seventh since the show launched on Station F in January 2018 – reflects the TF1 group’s commitment to the next generation of entrepreneurs. Our Innovation Unit has developed with TF1 MediaLab a win / win accelerator model that has supported more than 30 start-ups to date. Some of them – like Manadge and Kinetix from season 6 of the program – have already had the opportunity to extend their collaboration with the TF1 group as business partners.

With the help of their sponsor, the six new start-ups will integrate into the TF1 group over the next six months, allowing them to experiment and develop their solutions in areas ranging from AI and data to e-commerce and user experience. .

Users are given a QR code so they can interact with the content (like a poll) in real time. The broadcaster can then access the data via the “Interaction Manager” platform.

Objectives of the collaboration: LCI.fr and the TF1 information team wish to deploy the VoxM solution in order to offer audiences a new way of interacting with news content. The public will be able to use it to interact via a range of spoken and written word media, in particular for the “8 p.m. you answer“in the regular evening news bulletins, in which viewers can ask questions about the news.

Back to season 6 of the accelerator program

Season 6 of the program ended in July 2021 for five start-ups: Kinetix, Manadge, Qameleon, Nothing2install and Audiomeans. After the six-month program at Station F, three of these startups signed a contract with the TF1 group.

Kinetix, sponsored by the TF1 news team, has made great strides with its technology, which can turn any video into a 3D model. The AI ​​/ deep learning algorithm that powers the extraction of 3D models from the source video has been extensively trained, using the data generated from the motion capture. In May 2021, Kinetix was used for a real lifebroadcast on the evening television news of TF1. The TF1 group is now seeking new challenges alongside Kinetix, including the production of a report based solely on virtual images.

Manadge, sponsored by TF1 PUB, is a suite of specialized programmatic advertising management tools. The Startdevelops a solution for advertising networks, publishers and media agencies that simplifies commercial monitoring and data analysis of advertising activities.

At the end of the program, Manadge signed a commercial contract with TF1 PUB to provide the Manadge solution to around fifteen TF1 PUB sales representatives and the TF1 PUB digital teams.
