Nokia launches 5G To open Lab to accelerate private wireless network adoptionin Korea

Seoul, South Korea – Nokia today announced the launch aPrivate 5G To open Laboratory, as part of his Existing Advanced Technology Centerto his Seoul Offices to highlight its Technology and to encouragethe development of 5G private wireless networks in Korea. nokia Private 5G To open Lab will support Korean companiescommunications service providers (CSPs) and partners leverage private 5G wireless networks to gain new capabilities and operational efficiencies. the Ia B will also be offer partner training and demonstrationions for the customers. Nokia will also partnership with locals companiesdevelop solutions and services for 5G private wireless networks.

The lab is equipped with Nokia’s 5G private wireless network solution, including its radio, central and service platform, powered by Nokia’s latest AirScale portfolio, modular private wireless gateways and FastMile 5G. Nokia Digital Automation Cloud and MX Industrial Edge will also be added and interconnected with existing equipment by the third quarter of the year.

Korea recently announced e-UM (private 5G) service in the n79 and n257 frequency bands and granted service license to several companies. Nokia’s lab will help build a vibrant 5G private wireless network ecosystem that will enable end users to benefit from several industrial-grade private wireless use cases, including Industry 4.0, Virtual Reality, augmented reality and factory automation.

The lab allows local businesses to test their solutions and services, including interoperability testing, for 5G private wireless networks. Nokia will be able to deliver a verified private 5G service platform from various global use cases for testing to local customers and local industry players.
