The Village of Oswego has put a philanthropic spin on its newest event, Wine OFF the Foxa benefit concert at venue 1012 on Saturday, October 22. In addition to the wine tasting, two girl groups will perform at the inaugural event.

With October recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Wine OFF the Fox was set to help support local and national breast cancer organizations. Rush Copley/Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center, Edward Foundation Breast Program Fund and the American Cancer Society will receive 10% of ticket proceeds. A silent auction, online and on site, will help raise additional funds for organizations.

“Wine OFF the Fox shines a light on breast cancer awareness, raises funds and allows our community to enjoy live entertainment and wine tasting,” said Village Chairman Troy Parlier. “Join us at Venue 1012 to support this worthy cause.”

Wine OFF the Fox opens with a VIP reception from 1-2 p.m. featuring an exclusive wine tasting and soloist before the event opens to all ticket holders at 2 p.m. Over 15 selections from regional wineries, seasonal craft beer from Oswego Brewing Co., a signature cocktail and non-alcoholic options will be available until 7 p.m. A variety of local food options will also be offered.

Jersey Girls, a popular group known for their energetic harmonies on original music and covers, will headline the event. Their repertoire includes contemporary hits and favorites from Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Aretha Franklin, Queen, ABBA, Bee Gees and the Four Seasons. Decked out in glitz and armed with powerful vocals, this Chicago trio performed across the country and were voted the Midwest’s favorite girl group. Serendipity, an all-female band from suburban Chicago, will open the event with a dynamic variety of 60s, 70s and 80s covers, as well as pop hits.

A variety of advance ticket options are available for Wine OFF the Fox:

$60 – VIP Package: includes event admission, exclusive wine tasting from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., special performance by a singer, commemorative glass of wine, VIP table near the stage , light appetizers and 20 tasting tickets from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

$35 – “For the Fight” Package: Includes general admission ticket, commemorative glass of wine, and 14 tasting tickets from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

$30 – “All for Pink” package: includes a general admission ticket, a commemorative glass of wine and 7 tasting tickets from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

$20 – General admission from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wine glass and tasting tickets are not included.

Wine OFF the Fox tickets are now on sale at venue1012.com. Tickets will also be available at the door for an additional $10 per package.

Many free parking spaces will be available on site. Outside drinks are not permitted; Nevertheless; participants can bring food. Cash and credit cards will be accepted on site.
