Lewiston and Auburn Libraries to Co-Host Program with Bad Art Museum

Lewiston and Auburn Public Libraries plan to co-host the Museum Of Bad Art with a virtual “Tough Times – From Have a Bad Day to Dystopian Apocalypse” program.

This free public broadcast will take place on Zoom from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 21.

In this presentation, the Museum Of Bad Art explores some of the ways artists respond to disasters, big and small, real and imagined, according to a press release from the library.

Based in Somerville, Massachusetts, the museum collects, exhibits, and celebrates art that won’t be seen anywhere else. Since 1993, the museum has collected works of art from thrift stores, garage sales, sidewalk trash, and even the artists who create them. They analyze, compare to classic art and share with thousands of fans around the world.

Registration is mandatory. The Zoom link will be displayed on auburnpubliclibrary.org and the library’s Facebook page before the event.

People can also register by contacting Donna Wallace at [email protected] or 207-333-6640 ext 4.

This program is co-sponsored by the libraries and the museum.

For more information, contact the Lewiston Library at 207-513-3135 or [email protected].
