Here’s where to find free books with Lansing Small Libraries

If you’ve ever walked around the greater Lansing area for a bit, you’ve probably seen one of these adorable little setups.

Lansing’s Small Free Library

At first glance, it looks like it could be a fairy’s well-decorated house. However, on closer inspection you will see that it actually houses free books.

It is part of the Little Free Library non-profit organization.

Little Free Library is “the world’s largest book-sharing movement.“, according to his website, and it helps provide access to books for those who couldn’t, and helps to engage and build community.

Need a book? Take a book. Have a book? Share a book.

The premise is very simple; if you need a book, take a book. If you have the option to share a book, please do so. It’s the same principle as taking a penny, leaving a penny.

There are books for all ages and reading levels, it all depends on what is donated there. The small free library pictured below can be found on Downer Avenue between Grand River and Saginaw in Lansing. See what books they have right now in the image below.
