HAMPSTEAD —If you participate in the Santa Claus for the elderly program and picked up a Tree Gift Tag at the Hampstead Public Library, please bring the gifts to the Rockingham Nutrition library or office in Plaistow by Monday December 13th. Please Note: Do not pack the items. Gift bags are preferred and are easier to manage for customers.

There is a Chair yoga library class scheduled for Tuesday, December 14 at 12:30 pm Maggie Grace of the Hampstead Yoga Hall guides everyone through strengthening and stretching exercises, as well as meditative breathing. Hampstead Public Library has a Wrap Party & Book Page Ornament event Saturday, December 18 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Looking for a place to wrap gifts for loved ones without them seeing each other? Come to our Wrap Party! Bring your gifts and wrapping paper, and we’ll provide you with extra wrapping paper, bows, bags, tape, scissors, and a large open conference room for you to work on. Plus, you can make a book page ornament for yourself or to add to your giveaway. If you have time, help us create some extra book ornaments to put with the greeting cards for area healthcare workers. We will have a crackling video fireplace on the big screen and holiday tunes will play to create the festive mood!

the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra offers a twenty percent discount off concert tickets for Hampstead Public Library patrons. Their season runs until May 2022. Phil’s wonderful Holiday Pops concerts take place on Saturday December 18th at 7:30 pm and Sunday December 19th at 2:00 pm. There are more concerts in February, April and May 2022. Hampstead Public Library StoryWalk® has a new book on display! Visit anytime to walk and read “There are no moose on this island! “ By Stéphanie Calmenson, illustrated by Jennifer Thermes. This award-winning book is about Jake, who is excited to take a trip to an island. He really, really wants to see a moose, but his dad insists there aren’t any moose on the island. Come and enjoy the playful rhyming text and discover the moose with Jake. The StoryWalk® is located on the front lawn of the library.

There is still time to buy tickets for the Friends of Hampstead Public Library Raffle basket. Displayed near the library reception, this Focus on You themed basket contains items to enrich your life and help you relax, reflect and organize. Items Included: Agendas, Index Cards, Office Tools, Aromatherapy, A Book With Tips On How To Relax, A 17 Month Planner From Lily Pulitzer And Much More. Tickets are on sale at reception and cost $ 1.00 each or six for $ 5.00. The draw will take place on Tuesday December 14 at the Friends business meeting. All members and those interested in organizing Friends are invited to attend the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
