Golf Pride opens retail lab in Pinehurst


Golf Pride, the maker of golf grips, has announced the opening of its Retail Lab, the company’s first on-site retail experience.

The location provides customers with a tour-like grip selection and installation experience with the company’s senior tour technician and provides access to GIC products and merchandise.

The lessons learned by Golf Pride technicians during each grip selection and regrip process will positively affect the retail experience across Golf Pride’s retail partners, OEM and e-commerce channels.

“The new Retail Lab is an important initiative for us,” said Jamie Ledford, President of Golf Pride. “We expect to learn a lot about the full retail experience, from handle selection to installation, by operating an on-premises retail environment. We believe the handle selection process will be very educational and fun and hope that the Retail Lab will become a must experience for visitors to Pinehurst.

The new 900 square foot Retail Lab will feature over 100 different products including swing and putter grips and other Golf Pride branded products.

“There are many things that we will better understand about consumer preferences and behaviors through the Retail Lab,” said Eric Gibson, Global Head of Marketing, Golf Pride. “Selecting the right model for an individual’s game can be difficult, and we hope to fix that and get a clearer picture of the specific types of products golfers want through this innovative experience.”
