City of Tucson and Coalition of Organizations Join to Host Homelessness Forum

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) – Members of the public are invited to join a two-day community forum on homelessness in the Tucson area.

The City of Tucson and Tucson Pima Collaboration to End Homelessness (TPCH), a coalition of organizations and various community stakeholders, are hosting the event Monday and Tuesday, August 15 and 16 in person at the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, 5049 E Broadway Blvd.

Some forum sessions are restricted to TPCH members or are invite-only, but there will be a public help session each day.

The timing of the forum coincides with the release of funding opportunities from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development to address issues related to homelessness.

During the two-day strategy session, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the resources available for transitioning homeless people into temporary and permanent housing, and help discuss strategies and priorities for of these transitions.
